The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation in Partnership with Adwensa Publication (Gh) Limited commemorated the International Day of Education 2025 under the theme “AI and Education: Preserving Human Agency in a World of Automation”.

The event was held on Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Prempeh Assembly Hall inside Kumasi with over 20 public and private Basic Schools in attendance.

The International Day of Education, observed on January 24 each year, serves as a global reminder of the importance of education in building a sustainable and inclusive future. Education plays a crucial role in empowering individuals, fostering economic development, and promoting social cohesion.

The International Day of Education is aligned with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) #4, which is “Quality Education.” This goal aims to ensure inclusive and equitable quality education for all, promoting lifelong learning opportunities.

Dignitaries present included the Board Chairman of the Otumfuo Foundation, Oheneba Boachie-Adjei Woahene II, Otumfuo Hiahene, Nana Addae Gyamera, Feyiasehene, the Ashanti Regional Director of Education, Dr. William Amankra Appiah, Mr Kwaku Oppong-Amponsah, CEO of Adwinsa Publication Limited, Municipal and District Directors of Education among others.
