Mr Andrew Kwabena Asamoah

Mr Andrew Kwabena Asamoah is the Founder and Executive Chairman of A&C Development Co. Ltd. He is a Barrister-at-law and a former Director of World Health Organization in Geneva, Switzerland.

Mr Asamoah has post-graduate qualifications in Public Administration, Human Resources Development, Public Relations and Journalism. He has written extensive publications and reviews on a wide-range of management, administrative and legal issues. He is also a member of several professional associations and societies including the Ghana and Nigeria Bar Associations; the American Society of International Law; the British Institute of Comparative Law; Member of the Institute of Management Sciences; Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts of the United Kingdom, etc.

 

BRIEF PROFILE ON MR ANDREW KWABENA ASAMOAH

Mr Asamoah returned to Ghana in 2002. On his arrival, he conceived and built the first shopping mall in Ghana, known as the A&C Mall. Since then, A&C Development Co. Ltd. has become a fast-growing real estate and construction company building and managing properties in many parts of the capital city. Its flagship is the A&C Mall.

He had 30 years of fruitful career with the World Health Organization. He rose through the ranks into various important positions, including Chief of Personnel, Director of Career Development and Global Security Coordinator, Director of Administration and Finance and Special Adviser to the WHO Director-General on Constitutional Matters.

Since returning to Ghana, he has served and continues to serve on several national and international bodies as well as non -profit organizations. Some of the Boards he presently serves include:

  • Chairman, Ghana National Labor Commission
  • President, Board of Trustees, Institute Pasteur, Dakar, Senegal
  • Chairman, University of Cape Coast School of Medical Sciences Endowment Fund
  • President, Ghana Association of Former International Civil Servants
  • Council member of the African University College of Communication (AUCC) Pensions Academy
  • Vice-Chairman, Cardinal Turkson Fund for Health and Education

In recognition of the above, he has been the recipient of several international and national awards, including Planters of Seed Award Ghana Club 100 (2005); National Award: Officer of the Order of the Volta (2008); Corporate Leadership Award, Capital Finance International, London, UK (2013); BID International Gold Award for Quality, Geneva, Switzerland (2014), Business Growth Achievement Award, Ghana SME & CEOs Summit, 2018; Nobles International Award, 2019. He is married with 4 children.
