THE OTUMFUO OSEI TUTU II FOUNDATION MAKES A ₵64,505 WORTH OF DONATION TO KOFIASE M/A BASIC SCHOOL

Providing equal learning opportunities for all, the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Foundation on Friday, 23rd September 2022 made a donation worth GHC 64,505 to Kofiase M/A primary school, a deprived community located in the Mampong Municipal. The Otumfuo Foundation donated these lists of items which worth GHC 64,505 to the school;

(A refurbished school block which has been entirely painted with windows and doors replaced & bolted, furniture for K.G which included 160 chairs and 25 round tables, furniture for pupils in Basic 1-6 which also included 120 dual desks, new furniture for teachers consisting of 7 desks and 7 chairs, textbooks & exercise books for basic 1- 6 pupils, and an interior decor in the K.G classroom)

Following the directives of Her Royal Highness Lady Julia Osei Tutu, wife of His Royal Majesty Asantehene and Patron of the Foundation, the deplorable state and conditions under which children study at Kofiase M/A primary school has been made conducive for an effective teaching and learning to occur. Few months ago, Her Royal Highness, Lady Julia Osei Tutu, wife of His Royal Majesty, the Asantehene and Patron of the Foundation heard about the deplorable state of the Kofiase M/A Basic school on UTV news broadcast. By virtue of her nature as a caring mother and mentor, she was moved by the conditions under which the children of Kofiase are being educated which is in contrary to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal 4.

The presentation was made to the school by Nana Afua Kobi Prempeh, Executive Director of the Otumfuo Foundation together with other management of the Foundation. Whiles presenting the item, Nana Afua Kobi Prempeh urged the school and the Kofiase community to use them judiciously so that future generations can also benefit from it.

In attendance of the programme were chiefs from Kofiase, Mr. Thomas Appiah Kubi Mampong Municipal Chief Executive and Mr. Gabriel Antwi Mampong Municipal Director of Education. Also present were inhabitants of Kofiase, teachers and students of Kofiase M/A basic school.
